TABE is designed to assess reading, mathematics, language, and spelling skills. All students must take the TABE before entering any Job Preparatory classes.

Course numbers beginning with the letter "B" are job preparatory and require TABE testing. Classes are subject to cancellation for low enrollment.

Beginning Computers - Level I

This course is designed for the beginning computer user! This "hands on" course will teach you the basics of computer operations by way of Windows 98 or XP®.



Beginning Computers - Level II

As a continuation of Level I this course includes advanced file and web searching, Windows Media Player, copying and audio CD, Media Library, acquiring picture files, E-Mail, Windows Messenger and Instant Messaging, an introduction to computer networks, firewalls, maintaining and optimizing your computer, scheduling routine disk maintenance, Windows updates, monitoring system performance and system information.

Microsoft Windows XP - Level 1

Microsoft Windows XP is the most significant upgrade since Windows 95. Learn all the new features of this new operating system. New user inter-face increased reliability, security and performance. You learn to create multiple user accounts, and increased emphasis on digital media. This course includes the Windows Desktop, creating time savings for retrieving, copying, moving, renaming, and deleting files and folders customizing the taskbar, working with toolbars, changing folder options and more.
